Job Description

Position Title:             Application Specialist

Classification:            Full Time, Salaried, Exempt

Reports To:                IT Director

 Location:                    Fort Wayne Office

  General Statement of Responsibility:        

The myEvolv Expert is responsible for meeting with business units to collect information about their processes, requirements, and programs to then build those items into the myEvolv software. This person will leverage Netsmart myEvolv trainings/meetings as well as conferences and online networking to build their knowledge of the myEvolv system and apply that knowledge to our existing setup. This person will grow to understand both the business side as well as the back end side of the myEvolv software and will become the SME on all myEvolv questions, problems, and solutions.

  Responsibilities

  • myEvolv upgrades, testing and rollout
  • Create training documentation
  • Train business areas on new features and rollouts
  • Develop technical solutions to business problems
  • Build custom forms utilizing some basic XML and JavaScript knowledge
  • Enhance current myEvolv processes and buildouts
  • Utilize trainings and the Netsmart Community to constantly increase your knowledge of the software and its capabilities
  • Backup to SQL Report Writer

    • Be driven and self-motivated to seek out solutions to company problems
  • Detail oriented but also the ability to see big picture
    • Understand how the work you are creating/implementing impacts other areas of the business as well as other areas of the myEvolv software
  • Process improvement, enhancement, and redesign
  • Familiarity (beginner/intermediate level) with some programming/scripting language (preferably JavaScript, XML and/or SQL)
  • Communication
    • The ability to work with multiple departments and people with various technological skills to understand requirements and build efficiencies in the system
    • Actively investigate business process needs

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Knowledge in SQL preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience with process design and improvement
  • 1-3 years experience developing technical solutions to business problems
  • 1-3 years experience with some programming and/or scripting language
  • Strong communication skills
