Job Description

Position Title:             Business Development Director

Classification:             Full Time, Exempt, Salary + Incentives

Reports To:                 Vice President of Marketing

Location:                     Fort Wayne, Indiana

  GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Put your sales and marketing skills to work by seeking and developing new business relationships, discovering client needs and developing trusted business relationships in assigned territory.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, qualify, and translate client needs into actionable opportunities for all of Crosswinds services
  • Collaborate with Program Directors to track business flow
  • Present to and build relationships with Lifeline staff members as a direct referral outlet
  • Maintain and develop your business relationships
  • Ability to make cold calls cold for new clients
  • Strategize and prioritize referral prospects with the VP of Marketing
  • Arrange, schedule and complete prospect marketing visits/meetings for all of Crosswinds’ services including: Counseling, ecare and Coaching, Seminars and Caribbean Mountain Academy Residential Services
  • Develop relationships with youth programs, churches and organizations to encourage and assist them in developing a more vibrant and active mission program
  • Work with Mission Teams to book and coordinate trips
  • Meet weekly solicitation goals as outlined by VP of Marketing
  • Log marketing activity on a daily basis into database

 

EXAMPLES OF TASKS

  • Meet with schools, churches, businesses, law offices, and other agencies to discuss Crosswinds services
  • Present at Lifeline staff meetings to ensure all staff understand the ability to transition clients to Crosswinds
  • Maintain relationships with prospects and existing customers through in-person, email, phone and written touches

 

 

Job Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Passion to help youth and families
  • Ability to deliver engaging, articulate sales presentations in person and over the phone
  • Self-motivated, detailed, an outgoing personality, and an entrepreneurial spirit

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Personal relationship with Christ
  • More than 5 years of successful sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related course of study
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in the Mission field (a plus)
  • Licensed driver with clear record and willing to drive
