Job Description

Position title: Licensed Therapist

Classification: Full Time, Exempt, Salaried

Reports To: Crosswinds Clinical Director

General Statement of Responsibility:

This position is for a licensed therapist. Unlicensed providers will not be considered. The licensed therapist is responsible to provide initial intake assessments, treatment planning, counseling for assigned clients, and attend staff meetings and clinical workshops. The licensed therapist may also present seminars/workshops to staff and community groups, and may provide supervision to unlicensed staff.

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and families of various ages with various presenting problems
  • Provide counseling services in the client’s home, in our agency office, or web-based using our telehealth platform
  • Facilitate competent counseling services from a faith-based perspective
  • Utilize evidence-based treatments in counseling
  • Completion of accurate, timely documentation of 1) all contacts with clients, 2) integrative summaries and treatment plans, and 3) reports for clients (as needed)
  • Value multiculturalism and diversity and integrate it into client conceptualization and treatment
  • Demonstrate respect for sociocultural values, personal goals, and lifestyle choices, and deliver services in a culturally competent fashion.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality to protect client’s privacy
  • Provide supervision to staff who are pursuing a clinical license
  • Review and sign off on supervisees’ documentation in a timely manner
  • Present psychoeducational seminars/workshops to staff and/or groups in the community (e.g., anxiety, suicide prevention, parenting, marriage)
  • Attend required staff meetings and clinical workshops
  • Meet with Clinical Director on a regular basis for support and training

Job Requirements

  • Hold a clinical license in the state of Indiana (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, HSPP)
  • Have an understanding of integrating the Christian faith in counseling clients
  • Belief in the family preservation philosophy
