Job Description

Position Title:               Program Support Specialist

Classification:              Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Reports To:                 Home-Based Administrative Support Coordinator

Location:                     Fort Wayne Administrative Office

General Statement of Responsibility                                                

The Program Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate detailed records, reviewing all client /case information while upholding excellent customer service.



Responsibilities

 Transfer data from paper formats into our database system using keyboards, data recorders, or scanners.

  • Verify data by comparing it to original documents.
  • Update existing data.
  • Retrieve data from the database as requested.
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data as needed.
  • Request, receive, and file missing paperwork to insure complete file information.
  • Provide phone support to Service Providers and our field staff.
  • Audit client paperwork according to state-required specifications.
  • Clearly communicate detailed information to multiple people.

 

Examples of Tasks

 

  • Receiving client case information via mail, email, and electronically through referral software.
  • Upload and file information in the correct files per Lifeline standards.
  • Entering new referrals, intake, updates, and closing information into our database.
  • Perform file audits to ensure each file contains all the paperwork that is required to support billing.

 

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Good clerical and organizational skills.
  • Aptitude to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Basic knowledge and experience using database.

 Ability to work as a team and with a positive attitude.
